Inviting friends: sharing a product and reading My referrals
Share a product on Dona and friends arrive through your link. The My referrals screen shows how often your link was opened and the purchases it led to.
A product you like can be sent to a friend from inside Dona. It is more than a link: the app counts how many times it was opened and how many purchases came through it. The result sits on the “My referrals” screen.
How sharing works#
Product pages carry a share button. Tap it and the “Share product” sheet opens: Telegram, WhatsApp, SMS, “Copy link”, and a button for other apps. The app prepares a link made for you. You need to be signed in when you share — otherwise the link is not tied to you. If you opened the share sheet before signing in, close and reopen the app after signing in, then share again.
The link looks ordinary, but it carries your marker. When your friend opens that exact link, the app credits the visit to you. So take the link from this sheet — an address copied from anywhere else carries no marker.
You can share a live stream too, but it does not show up on “My referrals” — that screen counts product links only. A stream has a reward of its own: in some streams a “Share & earn …” label appears on screen. In such a stream, when new viewers arrive through your link and watch, kivi may land on your account. The stream sets the terms: sometimes several viewers are needed, sometimes the reward is paid only once or only for the shop’s followers. Both you and your friend need to be signed in, and the number of rewards is limited. Kivi is Dona’s reward balance: it pays part of the price on your next purchase (the app’s English screens spell it “kiwi”).
What the My referrals screen shows#
You reach it through Me → “Settings” → “My referrals”. Three numbers sit at the top: “Invited” (how many different devices opened your link), “Downloaded” and “Buyers” (how many people who came through your link bought the product you shared).
Below them is “Referred sales”: the number of purchases credited to you, with “Value” — their total worth — next to it. Further down sits a “By product” list: of the products whose links were opened, the most-opened ones, each with its clicks and sales. The screen shows counts only — never who opened a link or who bought.
Treat these numbers as a guide rather than an exact tally. The “Downloaded” number mostly stays at 0 for now. For example, opening your own link adds to “Invited” as well, while several people opening it in a browser on the same Wi-Fi network may count as one. For a purchase to be credited to you, your friend has to open the link in the Dona app while signed in.

Why there are many taps and few sales#
This is normal, not a fault. Someone opens the link, sees the price and thinks it over. A tap is interest; a purchase is a decision.
The gap narrows with one small habit: do not send a bare link. A single line — “this one, here is the price, I liked it” — tells the person what they are tapping. If the product is being shown in a live stream right now, say so too: in a stream it is shown live and questions can be asked.
What is worth sharing#
Not everything shares equally well. In practice three kinds of item do.
First, a product with a clear, simple price. The person opens the link and decides at a glance whether it is worth it. Second, a product that needs to be shown: clothes, tableware, cosmetics. These are hard to judge from a photo, while in a stream they are turned around in the hand. Third, a product being shown in a live stream right now: the person joins the stream, sees it live and can ask questions. Nobody puts that kind of link off until later.
By contrast, a very expensive or very personal product brings little result. There will be taps, but the decision drags on and often never comes.
One more simple tip: do not send one person ten links in a row. The more choice there is, the slower the decision — in shopping as in everyday life.
Frequently asked questions#
My friend opened the link and bought, but the numbers did not change. Why?
Is there a cash reward for inviting?
The screen says “Share a product to start inviting friends”. What does that mean?
