A marketplace seller's glossary: SKU, IKPU, FBS, margin
Sixteen terms a marketplace seller in Uzbekistan meets every day, in plain words: SKU, IKPU, stock, FBS and FBO, commission, margin, conversion, returns.

A new seller runs into unfamiliar words on day one: SKU, IKPU, FBS, conversion. Nothing complicated hides behind them; each is a short name for an ordinary job. This seller glossary groups the terms into three sets: products and stock, money, orders and sales. Each gets an explanation of one or two sentences.
Seller glossary: products and stock#
Listing — a product’s page on the marketplace: name, photos, description, price and attributes. The buyer sees the listing and decides from it.
SKU (stock keeping unit) — your internal code for one exact item. A red dress in size M is one SKU, size L is another. You invent the code yourself; it exists only for record keeping.
IKPU (MXIK) — the identification code of products and services in Uzbekistan. It comes from the tax system’s unified catalogue (tasnif.soliq.uz) and is printed on the receipt. Unlike an SKU, an IKPU cannot be invented: it is a ready-made code from the state catalogue.
Stock — the number of items ready to sell right now. At zero stock nobody can order; if the number is wrong, you get an order for something you do not have.
FBS — the goods stay with the seller. When an order arrives, the seller packs it and hands it to a courier or a drop-off point.
FBO — the goods are handed to the marketplace warehouse in advance. The platform stores, packs and ships; the seller keeps the warehouse supplied.
Money terms#
Commission — the fee a marketplace takes from each sale. It usually depends on the product category, so it can vary inside one shop.
Turnover (revenue) — the total value of goods sold in a period. It is not profit: commission and costs have not been taken out yet.
Margin — what is left of the selling price after the cost of the goods and expenses. Example: you buy an item for 60,000 soums, sell it for 100,000, and spend 15,000 on commission, packaging and the rest: the margin is 25,000 soums.
Balance — money already earned from sales but not yet transferred to you. It is shown in the seller panel.
Withdrawal — moving money from the balance to a card or bank account. When and on what terms is decided by each platform.

Order and sales terms#
Conversion — the share of people who bought among those who opened the listing. A hundred viewed and three bought: conversion is three percent. Low conversion usually points to a problem with photos, price or description.
Return — the buyer sends the item back and gets a refund. If returns are frequent, look for the cause: the size chart, the photos or the packaging.
Promo code — a code the buyer enters at checkout to get a discount. The seller issues it for a set period or for chosen products.
Flash sale — a discount that runs in a short time window. When the time is up, the price goes back.
Live stream — a broadcast where the seller shows the product in real time and answers questions. The buyer taps the product on screen to buy it.
Where you meet these terms on Dona#
On Dona the goods stay with the seller: when an order comes in, you pack it and hand it to the courier. A product needs an IKPU code to go on sale, as explained in adding a product and finding its IKPU. Commission is set per product category and shown in the seller panel for each product. Revenue is credited to the seller’s balance, and the payout schedule and withdrawal terms are shown there too.
The sales tools include promo codes, flash sales and vouchers. For a live stream you can set a separate price that applies only while the stream is on.
