How to connect BILLZ to Dona: sell your till stock online

Your shop runs on a BILLZ till, so products, prices and stock are already there. To sell on Dona you do not have to enter them again: the Dona seller cabinet has a BILLZ integration. Here is where to get the key, what comes across and what the integration never touches.

What the BILLZ integration gives you#

BILLZ is a point-of-sale and retail system. Dona only reads from it: products, prices, photos and stock per store. Dona changes nothing inside BILLZ.

In BILLZ, price and stock belong to a store, not to the company. So after connecting you choose which BILLZ store your Dona shop sells from. Note that choosing a store does not narrow the import. The review list receives the company’s whole catalogue, and only price and stock come from the chosen store. An item that store does not carry arrives with no price and zero stock. It will not import until you enter a price yourself in the review list, and with zero stock it will not go on sale.

What comes across and what does not:

• Photos are copied from BILLZ.
• Price. Dona reads the chosen store’s selling price. If a promotion is running in that store, the promo price is read, so check prices before importing.
• Stock arrives with the catalogue for the chosen store.
• Archive. BILLZ does not separate archived products from active ones, and the list does not mark them. If you no longer sell something, find it by name and set it aside.
• Sales on Dona are not written back to BILLZ. Numbers move one way only, so you record Dona sales in BILLZ yourself, as before.

How to connect BILLZ to Dona#

You need to be the owner of the company account in BILLZ or a user with full rights, otherwise the section is not visible. On Dona, only the shop owner manages integrations.

1. In BILLZ, open Settings → Company (in the Russian interface, «Настройки → Компания»).
2. Go to Integration keys and create a new key. Give it a name you will recognise, “Dona” is enough. The new key can read the catalogue straight away, with no extra permissions.
3. Copy the key with the button in the Actions column. Treat it like a password: it gives access to company data. Do not send it in chats.
4. Paste the key into Dona. In the cabinet: seller.dona.uz → Integrations → BILLZ, paste the key and press “Connect”.

If the key is refused, check which BILLZ you use. The integration works with app.billz.io; accounts on app.billz.uz belong to an older, separate system that is not supported yet.

What happens after you connect#

Connecting imports nothing, it only checks the key. Then you pick the store and press “Refresh”. Dona reads the catalogue into a separate review list without touching your shop.

The list shows which rows are new, changed or already linked to your products. You set aside what you do not need and move the rest with “Import”. Linked products then update on later refreshes. A product that disappears from BILLZ is not deleted from Dona automatically, it is only flagged.

BILLZ limits its response speed, so a large catalogue takes a few minutes to read. BILLZ also asks not to re-read the product list more than once every five minutes.
